SniperSniper Description:
A Black Ops Airsoft Sniper is a player who is skilled in field craft and marksmanship who deliver long range, precision fire on selected targets from concealed positions in support of combat operations. They have a secondary mission of gathering information for intelligence purposes. They will participate in activities designed to deny the enemy freedom of movement by targeting enemy leaders, radiomen, observers, messengers and other key personnel with selective precision fire. Snipers will conduct close reconnaissance and surveillance operations.

Course Availability:
Black Ops Airsoft will provide the sniper course during skirmishes on Saturdays. If a player desires to participate in the sniper qualification course, Black Ops Airsoft requests the player to give advanced notice to anyone of the staff.

Course Outline

Range Estimation:
The player must demonstrate the ability to estimate range of targets inside and outside of their minimum engagement distance.

Range estimation will be done with optics and with normal perception.

Accuracy:
The player will be required to demonstrate the accuracy of their weapon system.

Land Navigation:
The player will be provided a known position in the field of play. The play will have to navigate to the known position using a map and compass.

Target Identification:
The player will be given intel on a specific target. They will be required to identify their target among multiple possibilities.

Observation:
Player will observe a skirmish from a concealed location. They will be required to identify as many of the players as possible, uniform descriptions, and the weapons used by each player. Additional details of the skirmish will be required as well such as which players were eliminated during the skirmish as well as what players were on what team.

Memory:
A specific number of items will be placed on a table, the player will be allowed a designated time to observe the items before they are removed from site. The player will then write down a description of those ten items.

Radio Communication:
Throughout the qualification course the player will be required to demonstrate the ability to use a radio.

Stalking / Movement:
The player will be required to move between two specific locations on the game field. While the player is moving BOA staff will attempt to spot the player.

Concealment:
The player will be given a target with an ROE of engagement. The player must make a shot from a concealed location. Once the shot has been made the player will remain concealed while BOA staff searches for location of player.
