History:
Black Ops Airsoft was formed in 2008 by three life long friends who began playing airsoft two years prior. Once a month for two years they would travel to Buffalo too participate in events hosted by the Western New York Airsoft League. It was during these two years that Black Ops Airsoft envisioned.
Wanting to provide an alternate field of play for players located in central New York, and could not attend the WNYAL events, Black Ops Airsoft was formed. For an entire year the owners worked on the property to provide the players with the best playing environment possible. They cleared undergrowth from sections of the woods to prevent tripping. Tree limbs were cut high over head to prevent serious facial or eye injury. A new gravel road was built to assist the players in getting onto the field.
Once the field reached a safe standpoint the owners began the construction of the village. The owners received help from friends and family, but they also received a lot of help from the local players themselves. Players wanted to come out and help build a new field that they would be able to play at. The first year saw a few private games, mostly between friends and those players who came out to help. During the games notes were taken on how to improve the field after every game, something that continues to this day.
Goal:
Black Ops Airsoft primary goal is to offer the best privately funded airsoft field possible, with as much action as any player can tolerate. Also the BOA Team prides themselves on providing their players with the safest playing environment they can. Each game whether it is a five man skirmish or a hundred man operation Black Ops Airsoft will always provide the best quality game for their players.
Working Relationship:
To this day BOA works with and attends every WNYA event they host. The operation schedules are worked out with several field organizers to provide the players in the area to best chance to attend as many events as they wish.
Black Ops Airsoft has a working relationship with the National Guard as well. The National Guard use airsoft as a training tool for new recruits. BOA and the Guard in Buffalo held a joint operation last year encompassing two different fields, the field in Penn Yan and Ransomville Base located near Buffalo. |
