Workshop

Shop Rate: $36.00/hour (nearest 15 minutes)

All work will be performed by dobey personally.

We will only perform a repair to our highest standards;  if you want it done right the first time this is the place to come.

All the parts sold and used to repair/upgrade/downgrade a gun will be selected with the thought in mind:  "Would I put this in my gun?"

The following is the typical type of service our customers receive:

Customer wanted a new nozzle installed on an echo 1 P90 which they supplied.  While I had it opened they wanted it re-shimmed, re-greased,  and an x ring installed to get her back to like new performance.  The gun should chrono around 370 to 380 fps with 0.20 gram bb's new and it was chronoing 335 fps as I received it.  Nothing major wrong with it, it has just been well used for a year or two.

Here it is broken down and de-greased.  The most important thing I do is clean the entire thing out in the sink with soap and a tooth brush.  Every last bit of crap comes out, in this picture you can see how nice and clean both halves of the gearbox are:

The brass cylinders always look like this after a few years, it just needs to be freshened up:
Here it is after I am done with it, they never look this nice, even brand new:
This shot is about half way through the shimming job, a great shim job is impossible to do if everything is not nice and clean:
This picture shows you everything you need to know about shimming, I explained it to Recon one day as I did a box with him there, you can ask him if you want but I am not telling:
Back together and ready for action:
Now remember this gun did not get a new spring, just a tear down, clean up, re-grease, x-ring, and everything I know about putting a box together the right way:
That's right!  A 56.5 fps increase with no spring change.

How does this bill out?

1 hour of labor: $36.00
X Ring: $1.00
Re-Grease: $1.00
Swapped out a cylinder head $5.00
total: $43.00
