BLACK OPS AIRSOFT: Weapon Class Descriptions

Class 1
All airsoft players that meet the requirements outlined in the rules section and are in good standing with Black Ops Airsoft will be automatically qualified to use class 1 airsoft weapons at Black Ops Airsoft events.

Max fps: 350 (0.2g 6mm)
Minimum Engagement: None
Max BB weight: 0.30g 6mm
Max Rate of Fire: None
Special Restrictions: None

Class 2
All airsoft players that meet the requirements outlined in the rules section and are in good standing with Black Ops Airsoft will be automatically qualified to use class 2 airsoft weapons at Black Ops Airsoft events.

Max fps: 390 (0.2g 6mm)
Minimum Engagement: 30 Feet (this is for full auto) (this is currently being discussed, and is subject to change)
Max BB weight: 0.30g 6mm
Max Rate of Fire: 15
Special Restrictions: None

Class 3
Class 3 weapons require the user to take a brief safety course given by one of the Black Ops Airsoft Chief Field Marshals on site, no cost.

Max fps: 400 (0.2g 6mm)
Minimum Engagement: 50 Feet
Max BB weight: 0.30g 6mm
Max Rate of Fire: Semi-Automatic Only
Special Restrictions: Semi-Automatic only, no other player may use the weapon

Class 4
Class 4 weapons require the player to pass a $10.00 Class 4 Weapons Safety Course (good for that season) Given by a Black Ops Airsoft Chief Field Marshal on site.

Under no circumstances will class 4 Airsoft weapons be allowed inside any building, hallway, structure, or tunnel.  Ever.

Minimum Engagement: 50 Feet
Max BB weight: 0.30g 6mm
Max Rate of Fire: 12
Special Restrictions: Automatic Support Weapons ONLY  These include:

M60
RPK

Class 5
The first of the Sniper level classifications, a player wishing to use a class 5 airsoft weapon must complete a brief safety course given by one of the Black Ops Airsoft Chief Field Marshals on site, no cost.

Minimum Engagement: 50 Feet
Max BB weight: 0.43g 6mm
Max Rate of Fire: None
Special Restrictions: Bolt Action Only

Class 6
Any Player wishing to use a Class 6 Airsoft weapon must first hold a Class 5 airsoft certification (from that play year) and pass a $10.00 Class 6 Weapons Safety Course (good for that season) Given by a Black Ops Airsoft Chief Field Marshal on site.

Class 7

Minimum Engagement: 100 Feet
Max BB weight: 0.43g 6mm

BLACK OPS AIRSOFT: Camouflage

Black Ops Airsoft does not require the players to wear camo although it is suggested. For those who do wish to wear to here is a short list of some of the most common camouflage and what side they fall under. Types of camouflage are numerous so if you don't see a specific type that you own feel free to ask what side your type of camo will fall under.

News and Updates

Bitter HarvestJune 2010 - News

Mike Haggerty President of Western New York Airsoft and owner of Frontier Airsoft, held Operation: Bitter Harvest at Black Ops Airsoft on June 5, 2010.  Operation: Bitter Harvest II was the second installment of the continuing story the fictional country of Roshambodia and its fight for independence.

Rebel Forces fought with Corporate Forces for control of the vast poppy fields.  Players searched the woods for poppies and were able to trade the poppies in for ammo and money.  A Security Force maintained control over the village while players interacted with NPCs.

May 2010 - News

May 1, 2010 Black Ops Airsoft hosted two events at the Penn Yan field. The first event was Operation: Iron Fist. This was the first of several Operations for the 2010 season. Over forty players were in attendance for this operation.

The second event was the Annual East Coast K-9 Training Seminar. Sheriffs from all over the east coast came to the Black Ops Airsoft field to train utilizing the village and 54 acres of property.

April 2010 - News

On March 27th 2010 Black Ops Airsoft hosted their first TAS Event, a milsim game, in which two SpecOps Teams were selected to face an over whelming OpFor team.  The objectives of the teams were to find a crashed prototype UAV before the OpFor could sell the new technology to foreign governments.

 The game consisted of four separate rotations with multiple objectives during each rotation.  The game utilized new ‘hit’ rules specifically designed for this milsim game.  For more information on milsim games check out the TAS Event section of the website.s.
