The Property

PropertyBlack Ops Airsoft has over fifty acres of flat terrain for the play area. The majority of the play area consists of woods and open field. Bordering the edge of the play area is a deep gorge that is in play as well for those who feel adventurous. The woods vary in type ranging from ancient pine trees over three feet in diameter to young hardwoods. The field is littered sporadically with pine trees and is covered with tall grasses that by the end of summer reach five feet high. With such varying types of terrain Black Ops Airsoft has something to offer for every player of all ages and physical condition.

DrivewayThe driveway to the field is a common driveway to the house bordering the property. The house is not part of Black Ops Airsoft so please do not drive up to the house or through their lawn. Past the house is the town water reservoir, this is not part of Black Ops Airsoft as well, do not park near the reservoir continue up the driveway to the staging area where there is plenty of parking.

Topography

Topography

The playing area is relatively flat with only a few small hills that need to be negotiated.  Located on the top of one of these hills is the ‘Sandbag Bunker’ out on the edge of the field.  Bordering one edge of the property is a deep gully with a shallow stream running through it.  Though the gully is over a 100 feet deep there are no sheer drop offs though the sides can become steep at points.   Traveling to the bottom of the gully is not hard but climbing out can be tiring.  The small stream at the bottom of the gully is rarely more than knee deep but can reach waist deep in certain spots.  At times some of the players enjoy traveling down the side of the gully and playing at the bottom.  During these times any players who do not wish to go to the bottom can remain at the top and play on the flatter ground.
