BLACK OPS AIRSOFT: Welcome

Airsoft_Player_01 Black Ops Airsoft is the pre-eminent skirmish field constructed exclusively for the sport of airsoft located in New York State. BOA offers over fifty acres of woods, open fields, a well established MOUT Facility, and a fortified sandbag base with surrounding foxholes reinforced with sandbags. Black Ops Airsoft has something to offer for everyone.

BOA: Message Board Forums

Black Ops Airsoft offers a message board forum for all of the players who wish to communicate with each other while away from the field. The forums are the best way to stay in touch with everything that is happening at the field and with all Black Ops Airsoft events. Check the forums regularly to stay up to date.

On the message board forums you will find answers to some of you questions that you might have concerning rules or general questions concerning airsoft in general.

BOA: Annual K-9 Seminar

New York State Sheriff’s Association Annual K-9 Seminar
Hosted at Black Ops Airsoft in Penn Yan

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office has had a long outstanding history in the use of Police Canines. As a specialty unit assigned to the Law Enforcement Bureau, the Deputies assigned are on patrol with their Canine partners. Each team is certified in patrol, tracking, and narcotics and maintains their proficiency in weekly training under the supervision of two New York State Bureau for Municipal Training Council (DCJS) certified trainers/examiners. Today the Sheriff’s Office has two certified K-9 teams: Deputy Sheriff Brandon Jensen and K-9 Argo (Belgium Malinois)Deputy Sheriff Brian Winslow and K-9 Orry (German Shepard).

This unit also hosts the New York State Sheriff’s Association Annual K-9 seminar in conjunction with the North American Police Working Dog Association (NAPWDA). This seminar has seen many K-9 teams from around the northeast and sponsors some of the foremost instructors in the United States in this field of expertise.

The North American Police Work Dog Association (NAPWDA) was formed in 1977 and is composed of law enforcement officers throughout the United States and several other countries. Our mission is that we are Dedicated to Assisting Police Work Dog Teams Throughout the World. We conduct in service training workshops in various states throughout the year and hold a major national workshop in a different state yearly. Officers and their K9's attend these workshops for problem solving, legal updates, new techniques in various phases of police work dog use and certifications to our standards

there were over 30 K9 Units from all over the east coast. Many of the K9 Units came with at least three dogs and trainers. Some of the teams traveled from Connecticut, Virginia and other New York State counties, like Niagra.They ran numerous scenarios through out the woods and village including hostage, gunman, multiple gunmen, tracking among others.

Operation: Iron Diplomacy After Action Report

Operation: Iron Diplomacy was the first op of the 2012 Season. This event was organized and run by Brian Dana. Over 70 players participated this op. The players were divided into two teams, Green Team and Tan Team.

2012 UPDATES: New Rules and Regulations

Black Ops Airsoft is dedicated to player safety first and for most. Also we strive to have the most dynamic games and events possible. These are the reason for the changes in our rules for 2012.

Safety Changes:
Face Protection
All players 16 and under are required to have hard shell full face protection. This could be a mesh mask and goggles, or a full paintball mask.

All players 17 and older are required to have at least soft shell full face protection but we encourage all players to have hard shell full face protection.

Players can purchase multiple styels of hard shell and soft shell face protection from anyone of our supporters or you can purchase them directly from us the day of the event you are attending.

Kill Rags:
Kill Rags are still required for all participants on the field. A Kill Rag must be a RED piece of cloth. We will no longer except a brightly colored piece of cloth. This is protect players from being hit excessively.S

Players can purchase a kill rag from Black Ops Airsoft for $1.00

Game Changes:
Medic Bands
The Five Second Touch Medic Rule has been repalced by Medic Bands. Medic Bands are 2 inch wide piece of white cloth with velcro to fasten the ends together. To medic a wounded player, a team mate must wrap the medic band around one of the arms of the wounded player before the wounded player can rejoin the action.

Players can purchase a kill rag from Black Ops Airsoft for $1.00

Shemaghs:
Shemaghs are still required, but this year we are requiring each player to have ONE shemagh of each color. This means each player needs ONE green and ONE tan shemagh. This is to help balance teams during skirmishes.

News and Updates

January 2012

Black Ops Airsoft held two skirmishes this month. With tempatures in the single digits and a wind chill approaching zero over thirty players showed up for the first skirmish. The second skirmish was held a few weeks later and the weather was dramatically different. Tempatures were in the upper forties and no snow in sight. Over forty players braved the weather and came out for the second offical winter skirm.

February 2012

Black Ops Airsoft hosted one skirmish during the month of February. Weather was typical for this month, mid twenties and light snow through out the day. Over twenty players participated in the last winter skirmish of the year.

March 2012

Black Ops Airsoft will be opening the gates for the 2012 season on March 3rd.
